Use of Cell Phones and Other Electronics

Texting, using cell phones, laptops, and other devices that make sound or emit light during the performance is strictly prohibited. It disturbs other patrons and the actors. Please turn all electronic devices to silent or off during the show.

No Cameras or Recodring Devices

Taking photographs or videotaping inside the auditorium is strictly prohibited. You may not take pictures or video of the stage during, before or after the show

Parking

Come early to have a complete PlayMakers experience! Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the show so that you have time to park, find your seat, enjoy the playbill, or have time for a drink or a light snack. Please note that campus parking is maintained by UNC’s Department of Public Safety and while free and open to the public after 5:30pm and on weekends, parking is frequently used by the larger UNC population and the Chapel Hill community. Therefore, please allow yourself time to find parking. More information is on PlayMakers website: www.playmakersrep.org/visitorinfo.

Headsets for Hearing Impaired Patrons

Our theaters are equipped with FM sound systems that amplify the sound from the stage. Patrons who wish to use the system may obtain headsets on a first-come, first-served basis. Headsets must be returned immediately after the performance. PlayMakers thanks Carolina Meadows for its support of this service.

Late Seating and Leaving Your Seat During the Performance

In order to minimize disturbance to other patrons and the actors, late seating will be provided at the discretion of the house manager at an appropriate break in the action on stage. Patrons who need to be seated late must be escorted by house staff to seats at the rear entrance of the auditorium. Patrons can take their regular seat at intermission. We discourage patrons from leaving their seats during the performance. Be advised you most likely will not be able to return to your regular seat: patrons will be reseated by house staff at the rear of the auditorium.

Children

In the best interest of all patrons and performers, parents are discouraged from bringing very young children or infants. Each person, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Lap seating is strictly prohibited.

Concessions

PlayMakers has a variety of snacks and beverages available for sale in the concessions stand before the performance and during intermission. Cash only please.

Thank you for your cooperation.
