As part of its mission, PlayMakers is dedicated to nurturing succeeding generations of audiences. Our Educational Matinee Series seeks to encourage the creative and cultural growth of middle and high school students by bringing them into the theatre for performances held exclusively for school groups.
All Matinees begin at 10:30 a.m. and are followed by group discussion between students and members of the cast and artistic staff when time and schedules allow. Study guides for each production are sent in advance to help prepare students for the performance they will see.
Tickets for the Educational Matinee Series are only $7.50 per student for each production. Teachers and chaperones are admitted free of charge. PlayMakers requires school groups to bring one teacher or chaperone for every 15 students. Invoices will be sent upon your reservation request. Payment in full is due one week in advance of each performance.
