For select events, a 30% group discount is available for groups of 15 or more. Please note that group discounts are not available for Opening Night or Community Night performances.
What makes a group?
Your favorite bunch of people (15 or more) constitutes a group: friends, family, co-workers, classmates - anyone! Ticket prices vary by show, day, and time. Groups receive a discount of 30% off the adult single ticket price.
*Group rates do not apply to Opening Night or Tuesday community night tickets.
*Campus student groups may be eligible to receive an additional discount for select performances.
Where will our seats be?
We always do our best to get you the best seats possible for every performance. Placing your group order as early as possible is an excellent way to ensure great seating. We make every attempt to put group members as close together as possible when seating; however that is not always possible. We will never assign single seats without group leader approval.
How do I make a group reservation?
Please call Michael Washington to book your group at 919.843.2311. Our group sales office hours are Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm. You can also email miwashin@email.unc.edu.
What is needed for a deposit?
A 15% non-refundable deposit is due when order is placed.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due no later than two weeks prior to the scheduled performance. For orders placed within two weeks of a performance, full payment is due at the time of the reservation.
What methods of payment are accepted?
Checks, cash, money orders, or credit cards are the required forms of payment for groups bookings. We accept MasterCard and Visa.
What other ways can we make our group outing unique?
In addition to seeing an outstanding performance, groups can have an onsite pre- or post-show reception, a discussion with artistic staff, or a backstage tour. We’re also happy to host guest speakers and events that are not connected to a specific production (time and space permitting). We're eager to answer your questions and make PlayMakers the best event your group has ever had!
Can my organization buy out a show?
PlayMakers welcomes groups of all sizes to buy out the entire theatre for a performance. To secure a date, buy-out arrangements should be made well in advance. Buy-outs are based on availability for select shows. Determined on a per-group basis, buy-out customers may receive special benefits and opportunities to customize the experience.
