Volunteer

Would You Like To Be Involved In One Of America's 50 Best Regional Theatres?*

PlayMakers welcomes volunteers in many aspects of its work. Consider participating in one of these areas:

  • Office Assistance:

PlayMakers is looking for volunteers to help with mailings, filing, clerical work, and various special projects. There is always something to do in the administrative offices and we can use your help.
  • Volunteer Leaders:

PlayMakers is looking for volunteers who would like to play a larger role in the Company. We are looking for volunteer leaders to help manage volunteer groups, organize Sundown Suppers and work in the administrative offices.

To usher, please sign up in the Volunteer Usher book in the Paul Green Lobby or call the box office at 962-PLAY(7529).

  • Ushering and House Staff:

We are always looking for energetic, customer service-oriented volunteers to help us greet and make our PlayMakers patrons feel at home. Work the production and see the play for free.

  • Opening Night Receptions:

Help host PlayMakers opening night galas. We are looking for volunteers to assist the staff with the opening night preparations and the after-show reception. Come get involved with the excitement of opening night.

  • Sundown Suppers:

We need cooks and servers to help host a dinner for the cast and crew of productions in technical rehearsal. This event is a favorite of PRC company members and guest artists alike.
  • Student Matinees:

Help host the hundreds of students who attend our educational matinees during the season
  • Spotlight on Service (SOS):

To recognize the contribution of social service organizations in our community, PlayMakers invites local service agencies to join us for previews of each production. We need volunteers to help greet our special guests and help them with their tickets.
  • Publicity:

PlayMakers needs volunteers to help spread the word about the Company by distributing information at community locations and by helping to represent the theatre at various community festivals.
