Jade Bettin

Jade Bettin is an adjunct assistant professor in UNC’s Department of Dramatic Art. In addition to teaching classes focused on the design and production of costumes, she works extensively as a designer and draper for PlayMakers Repertory Company. Recent shows at PlayMakers include Mary’s Wedding, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, Metamorphoses, Seminar and Clybourne Park. She has also served as the designer for Durham-based Haymaker performance company. Her regional work includes costume design for The Parchman Hour at Cape Fear Regional Theatre and draping for the Carolina Ballet. Last summer, Jade worked as a wardrobe technician on Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE in Las Vegas. Jade is a graduate of the MFA Costume Production Program at UNC-Chapel Hill and has a BA in Theatre Design and Production from the University of Northern Iowa.
