About the Lab!

The Lab! is UNC's oldest and most active student theater group. Dedicated to artistic excellence and social opportunity, The Lab! is entirely student produced, directed, acted, designed, and crewed. With support from the Department of Dramatic Art, the Lab! is overseen by three elected student producers and an appointed Lab! Board. The Lab! is proud to provide UNC with quality theatrical experiences for no additional charge--admission to our productions is always free.

The Lab! mounts up to 12 full scale productions every academic year with the option of workshops and special events. Each and every performance event produced by The Lab! is FREE OF CHARGE. We are graciously supported by both the Department of Dramatic Art and Student Congress, in addition to our benefactors. To learn more about being a Lab!
