Acting Coach/Lead Acting Teacher, Summer Youth Conservatory
Kathryn is the artistic director for the Independents Indy Award-Winning theater Hidden Voices. Directing credits include Rewind for Hidden Voices at The ArtsCenter and in Raleigh at St. Marys. Rewind is based on the life story of one of the inmates Williams worked with in Dept. of Corrections. Other credits with Hidden Voices include Because Were Still Here and Moving, telling the story of the Northside community in Chapel Hill, and Home is Not One Story, dealing with domestic abuse and homelessness in the Triangle. She has also directed, for the 10x10 Play Festival and Snapshots in Time for the Womens Prison Writing and Performance Project. For PlayMakers, Ms. Williams directed the premier of Mike Wiley's Witness to an Execution.
Kathryn is a company member with PRC. Acting credits at PRC include Doubt, Romeo and Juliet, The Bluest Eye, Yellowman, Salome, Our Town, The Man Who Came to Dinner, The Laramie Project, Wit, and Constant Star.
Ms. Williams has been a part of the Summer Youth Conservatory since its inception, and has served as an acting teacher for the students in the program. This year, she developed and served as lead teacher for the morning conservatory classes, deepening the level of training an experience that the acting students gain during their five weeks in the Conservatory.
